The Labradoodle’s story began in 1989 in Australia. Wally Conron of the Royal Guide Dogs Association sought to create a hypoallergenic guide dog. By crossing a Labrador Retriever with a Poodle, he produced a working dog that combined a guide dog's steady temperament with the Poodle's non-shedding coat. Today, it stands as one of the world's most beloved family pets, despite not yet being officially recognized as a standalone breed by major kennel clubs.
